The state of Tennessee has begun inspecting amusement rides, and Dollywood signed up to be first on the list in East Tennessee.
The inspections came about as a result of a state law that went into effect at the beginning of this year. Dollywood already got private inspections, but it encouraged the state to have a look as well.
The law requires all rides, big or small, to meet the same safety standards.
The inspections will take place twice per year at fixed park rides and on a sporadic schedule for traveling rides.
